One is the Holiday Card Exchange hosted by (Just) Trying is for Little Girls. Getting/sending cards from/to perfect strangers?! How fun! Seriously, I think it sounds cool! Not only does it give me an opportunity to get introduced to new bloggers but my plan is to create a cool card that showcases Kentucky, running/triathlon & the holidays. I am not sure how I will do that but at least that is my plan! I admit that it has been a few years since I sent out Christmas cards. Not sure why other than I got lazy. Maybe this will motivate me to dust off my old Christmas card list!
The other holiday blogging event that I am signing up for is The Thanksgiving Virtual 5K hosted by Daily Vitamin F. I had planned to run our local Thoroughbred Classic 5K on Thanksgiving but considering I am still not running & I don't feel like paying to walk a 5K I decided to volunteer at the race & enter this free virtual 5K instead. You can get your 5K in anyway you see fit as long as you do it on Thanksgiving. I will be walking it, hopefully with Steve & my Mom who will be here for the holiday.

The card thing looks cool although if I have to make a card and be creative I might be out. I am not that creative a person I have to say. I haven't done holiday cards the last three years. I am thinking I need to get my act together this year!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a pretty neat idea with the cards. I'm going to be in Louisville for Thanksgiving and the virtual 5K may be the only thing I will be able to do.
